More Common Worries for Potential and First-Time CL Wearers

Another common worry is that the lens will slide to the back of the eyeball. There is no need to worry, this is physiologically impossible and can never happen. Another concern is that it will be nearly impossible to get the lens out once it is in place. No need to worry. If you’re wearing a GP contact lens, just pull your eyelids taut to the side and blink. The lens will pop right out. For a soft lens, use a few drops of rewetting or CL solution to keep the lens wet. Look up, touch the lens, and slide it down and over to the outside corner of the eye. The lens will bunch up, so it’s easy to remove using the thumb and forefinger.
