The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recently added new information on its website about the proper use of contact lens solutions. A new video on contact lens safety is also available on the site. The FDA emphasizes the importance of rinsing and emptying contact lens cases after each use. Failure to do so increases the risk for eye infections, including bacterial and fungal eye infections that can lead to permanent vision loss.
